About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to train as an Apprentice Dental Nurse at GREAT HORTON DENTCARE LTD in Bradford. You will provide efficient and reliable chair-side support to the dental surgery, assisting with a variety of tasks. Day-to-day duties include reception duties, dealing with patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, sterilising and preparing equipment, recording patient records, supporting patient wellbeing, cleaning dental areas, and managing stock. You will also be expected to undertake any other duties to support the dentists and senior team in providing effective patient care. Requirements include GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 (desired), and strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills. Patience and a non-judgmental approach are essential. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there are opportunities for career progression into roles such as team manager, team leader, or dental practice manager. Further training could lead to becoming a dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.
