About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded apprenticeship leading to a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing, accredited by City & Guilds. The role involves assisting dentists chair-side, sterilising and preparing equipment, handling reception duties, managing patient queries, taking payments, and booking appointments. You will also be responsible for maintaining patient records, supporting patient well-being, managing stock, and ensuring cleanliness within the dental practice. The apprenticeship provides hands-on experience alongside theoretical training, preparing you for a career in dental healthcare. Upon completion, career progression opportunities include moving into management roles, or further training to become a dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.
