Get into tech without a tech degree

Who it is for

Young people aged 18 to 24 who are not in work, education or training (NEET) and can get to Manchester. No tech experience and no CV needed. A computer science degree or similar rules you out; any other degree is fine.

How it works

Register your interest, then a selection day with IN4 Group in Manchester on 22 October picks 10 people. From 1 November they do 6 weeks of training with IN4 Group, three days a week. UBDS Digital then hires 4 of them on a Level 3 apprenticeship at £17,000 for about 15 months, moving to a £28,000 job once it is finished.

The job

IT support at the UBDS Digital office in Manchester: helpdesk work, fixing tech problems and helping people use digital and AI tools. On site five days a week, on shifts between 8am and 8pm. The role needs NPPV3 police security vetting.

Who runs it

The UBDS Digital TechFirst programme is run by IN4 Group, with UBDS Digital as the employer. Sprout Careers handles registration on IN4 Group’s behalf. Registration closes 20 October.
