Key duties include greeting customers, interpreting prescriptions, assisting with frame selection based on comfort and lifestyle, measuring frames, adjusting spectacles, basic frame repairs, and explaining lens features. You will also learn about ordering glasses and contact lenses, completing paperwork, scheduling appointments, using optical equipment like a focimeter, and performing pre-screening tests. The position emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and problem-solving within an optical practice. The training will equip you with skills in optical support and professional behaviour suitable for the role.
