About the role

This is a Pharmacy Assistant Apprenticeship opportunity with AVN MEDICAL LIMITED in Catterick Village. The role involves supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, assisting customers, and working with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service. The apprentice will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support. Key duties include serving customers at the medicines counter, preparing and supplying prescriptions under supervision, handling stock, processing prescriptions using pharmacy systems, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in healthcare and working with people, strong communication and customer service skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. No prior pharmacy experience is required as full training will be provided. The apprenticeship typically lasts 15 months and involves blended learning. This role offers the chance to earn while learning, gain a nationally recognised qualification, and develop transferable skills for a career in pharmacy.
