Civil Engineering Apprentice

About the role

Paul Basham Associates are seeking passionate individuals to join their team as Apprentice Civil Engineers. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a Civil Engineering & Transport Planning consultancy while working towards a Level 6 Civil Engineering Apprenticeship.

As an Apprentice Civil Engineer, you will support the design and delivery of various projects, including drainage systems, highways, and development infrastructure. You will assist with Section 278 and Section 38 highway schemes, work with a range of stakeholders, and gain experience using industry-standard design software like AutoCAD and Infodrainage. Mentorship from senior engineers and ongoing professional development will be provided. The role involves contributing to projects across residential, commercial, and educational developments, fostering an understanding of engineering design principles and project management.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 or equivalent, plus A-levels or equivalent in a relevant subject (Engineering, Maths, Physics) with BBB-BBC grades, or a Merit in a relevant T-level, or DDM-MMM in a relevant BTEC, or 112-120 UCAS points. Strong communication, IT, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are also essential.
