Bookkeeping & Accounts Apprentice

About the role

This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive introduction to bookkeeping and accounting within a top 15 accounting and advisory network. The role is designed for individuals starting their career in finance, providing a structured learning path from foundational concepts to advanced accounting practices. The first year focuses on online training, mentorship from a dedicated 'Buddy', and mastering essential accounting software like Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero. You will learn about debits and credits, sales and purchases, and basic VAT rules. In the subsequent years, responsibilities will expand to include providing software support to clients, processing financial information, collaborating with internal departments such as tax and payroll, and building client relationships. A significant part of the role involves preparing VAT returns, drafting year-end accounts, and potentially working on-site with clients to set up their accounting systems. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain practical experience and develop a strong foundation in the accounting profession.

Entry requirements

• GCSEs grade 4-9 with a 6 or above in English Language and Maths (or equivalent).
