About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded apprenticeship for a Dental Nurse, leading to a Level 3 Extended Diploma. The role involves assisting dentists, sterilising equipment, managing reception duties, and enhancing the patient experience. You will gain hands-on experience, learn new skills, and work alongside experienced professionals. Key responsibilities include providing chair-side support, handling patient queries and payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing stock.

The apprenticeship requires essential GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade 4). Strong communication, organisational, customer care, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are highly valued, along with patience and a non-judgmental attitude.

Upon completion, there are various career progression opportunities, including moving into management roles, or further training to become a dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist. The employer is a healthcare provider offering general dental services.
