About the role

Portland Fuel Limited is offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to join their IT team as an IT Trainee Apprentice. This entry-level position will provide comprehensive training across various IT disciplines, including IT security, software development, network infrastructure, communication systems, hardware maintenance, and support. The role involves hands-on experience with coding and development in C#, maintaining existing codebases, working with databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL), setting up and maintaining server environments (Linux, IIS), website development (LAMP, PHP, Node, WordPress), and providing IT support to staff. While no industry qualifications are expected as full training will be provided, an active interest in IT, good organizational skills, a positive attitude, and basic computer skills are highly valued. A full driver's license is essential, along with flexibility to work from other Portland Group locations.

  • GCSE English and Maths at C or above, UCAS Points of 104.
