About the role

Sabden & Whalley Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist Apprentice for their Whalley Medical Centre, with occasional cover at the Sabden centre. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy healthcare setting. The apprentice will be responsible for managing appointments, handling patient inquiries via various channels (in person, phone, online), and directing patients to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Key duties include accurate computer data entry, processing and recording information according to practice procedures, and providing essential clerical assistance such as word processing, filing, photocopying, and scanning. The apprentice will also play a crucial role in ensuring patient confidentiality and demonstrating respect, sympathy, and professionalism when dealing with all individuals, including those who may be frustrated or upset.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English (Grade 4 or above) and GCSE Maths (Grade 4 or above).
