About the role

YOUNGSTARS CHILDCARE LIMITED is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and caring individual to join their childcare team as a Playworker Apprentice. This role is crucial in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children before school, after school, and during holiday provisions. The apprentice will work closely with the line manager, school staff, and the wider childcare team to support children through various play activities. The apprenticeship combines practical workplace experience with structured training to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed for a career in childcare and playwork. Responsibilities include supporting the planning and delivery of play activities, promoting children's development, building positive relationships, supervising children, and ensuring adherence to safeguarding and health and safety policies. The role also requires full engagement with apprenticeship training and professional development.
