About the role
As an apprentice, you will develop your practical skills in the workplace while learning the knowledge and behaviors needed to become a professional hairdresser. You will develop skills in shampooing, conditioning and treating hair and scalp, cutting hair using a range of techniques, styling and finishing hair, colouring and lightening hair, carrying out professional client consultations, understanding hair, skin and scalp conditions, recommending suitable products and services, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety, providing excellent customer service, and working effectively as part of a salon team. You will also have the opportunity to develop additional skills through an optional area of study, which may include perming, hair relaxing or hair extension services. Upon completion, there is a possibility of a full-time position.
