About the role

This is an 18-month government-funded apprenticeship for a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing, delivered by City & Guilds. As an Apprentice Dental Nurse at Precinct Dental Practice, you will assist dentists, sterilize equipment, perform reception duties, and enhance the patient experience. Your role will involve providing efficient chairside support while adhering to high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and GDPR compliance. Key duties include preparing surgeries, sterilising instruments, assisting clinicians, updating patient records, managing stock, and maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. The apprenticeship offers a clear career progression path, with opportunities to advance to Senior Dental Nurse, Lead Nurse, Treatment Coordinator, or Practice Manager roles. Further training can lead to specializations as a Dental Hygienist, Dental Therapist, or Orthodontic Therapist.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths at grade 4 and GCSE English at grade 4.
