About the role

An exciting apprenticeship opportunity to become an Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant at J Docter Ltd T/A J Docter Pharmacy in Oldbury. This role involves working in "The Robot Room", a key area for preparing and processing patient medication. Responsibilities include analysing prescriptions, dispensing medicines using a SynMed XF MDS dispensing robot, operating barcode scanning systems, responding to robot alerts, replenishing medication, checking completed trays for accuracy, and preparing them for the pharmacist's final check. You will also be involved in ordering stock, monitoring stock levels, receiving deliveries, and storing medicines correctly. The role requires using the pharmacy's PMR and stock/order systems, adhering to pharmacy procedures, legal requirements, and patient-safety standards. This apprenticeship offers a pathway to a Pharmacy Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship and potential permanent employment.
