About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded apprenticeship opportunity to become a Level 3 Dental Nurse. The course is delivered by City & Guilds, leading to a Level 3 Extended Diploma. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience assisting dentists, sterilising and preparing equipment, managing reception duties, and supporting the overall patient experience within a dental practice. You will be trained to provide efficient and reliable chair-side support, maintain patient records, ensure the cleanliness of dental areas, and manage stock levels. This role requires strong communication, organisational, and customer care skills, along with patience and a non-judgemental approach to patient care. Successful candidates will need to pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and may require a Hepatitis B vaccine.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above.
