About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join HOARE LEA LLP as a Building Services Design Engineer Degree Apprentice in Birmingham. You will be involved in the future of building services engineering design, working on diverse projects that emphasize sustainable design and innovation. Your responsibilities will include producing detailed designs and drawings, utilizing the latest computer modelling software, conducting site surveys, researching new technologies, and collaborating with project teams, clients, and end-users. You will gain hands-on experience in preparing engineering system designs, writing specifications, and monitoring construction site progress. There are potential opportunities to specialize in electrical, mechanical, or digital engineering design. This role requires strong communication, IT, attention to detail, organizational, problem-solving, presentation, numerical, analytical, and teamwork skills.

Entry requirements

  • A-level or equivalent in a Science Subject (A-C), A-level or equivalent in Maths (A-C), T-level in Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning (Merit), BTEC Extended Diploma in an Engineering subject (DDM), BTEC National Diploma in an Engineering subject (D*D*), Level 3 or equivalent in Building Services (Merit), Level 4 or equivalent in Building Services (Merit).
