About the role
Gestamp is a leader in engineering and manufacturing, offering a structured apprenticeship for an enthusiastic individual to start their career as a Toolmaker. This role provides hands-on experience with modern machinery and equipment, covering tool maintenance, laser cutting, hydraulic and servo-powered presses, and 5-axis CNC machining. The apprentice will develop practical skills and technical knowledge to diagnose and resolve engineering issues, gaining valuable real-world experience from day one. The apprenticeship allows for earning a wage, gaining industry-specific competence, and has potential for full-time employment upon successful completion.
Entry requirements
- GCSE Maths at 9-5 minimum, GCSE English at 9-4 minimum. IT skills, attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, numerical, analytical, logical, teamwork, initiative, and an interest in Engineering.
