About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded apprenticeship for a Dental Nurse, leading to a Level 3 Extended Diploma from City & Guilds. The role involves assisting dentists, sterilising equipment, reception duties, and supporting patient experience. Key responsibilities include providing chair-side support, managing patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, recording patient records, ensuring patient wellbeing, and maintaining stock. The apprenticeship requires GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4 or above, along with strong communication, attention to detail, organisation, administrative, and team-working skills. Successful candidates will also need to pass a DBS check and receive a Hepatitis B vaccine. Career progression opportunities include moving into management roles or further training to become a dental therapist, hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.
