About the role
The apprentice will be working alongside fully qualified body paint technicians to be fully trained in preparing and painting repaired panels. You'll be responsible for undertaking paint repair and restoration work on all makes of motor vehicles, whilst achieving the highest standards possible. Duties include operating spray guns and machinery, mixing paints, adjusting paint flow and viscosity, and controlling air pressure. Other tasks involve proper disposal of hazardous waste, following colour charts, and removing rust. Paint technicians must also disassemble, clean, and reassemble their painting equipment. This role offers career progression within the automotive industry, with opportunities to move into positions of authority.
