About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded apprenticeship to become a Dental Nurse, leading to a Level 3 Extended Diploma accredited by City & Guilds. The role involves providing essential chair-side support to dentists, sterilizing and preparing equipment, managing reception duties, and ensuring a positive patient experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting patients, handling queries and payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, cleaning dental areas, and managing stock. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to gain new skills and work alongside experienced dental professionals. Upon completion, there are opportunities for career progression into roles such as Dental Practice Manager, Dental Therapist, Dental Hygienist, or Orthodontic Therapist.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Mathematics at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, attention to detail, customer care, presentation, administrative, logical thinking, teamwork, patience, and creative skills are essential.
