About the role
This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to join Oakwood Engineering Solutions Ltd as an Apprentice Steel Detailer. You will specialize in construction modelling and detailing structural steel, gaining essential skills for a career in engineering. Oakwood Engineering is a consultancy with a 35-year history, providing solutions for the built environment. As an apprentice, you will be trained to develop 3D models of steel structures, produce fabrication and assembly drawings, identify and resolve buildability issues, and coordinate with fabricators and contractors. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between design and construction, ensuring that manufactured and assembled steel components accurately reflect the design intent. Upon successful completion, you will have the chance to work as a qualified Structural Detailer.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Mathematics at grade 4 or above, along with strong communication, IT, attention to detail, problem-solving, and number skills, and a willingness to learn.
