About the role

This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive 3-year program to become a Service Technician/Mechanic at Pulman Volkswagen Sunderland. You will be involved in all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair, from routine servicing to complex diagnostics. Duties include using diagnostic equipment, testing parts, performing inspections, maintaining electronic systems, and repairing various vehicle components like clutches, gearboxes, and brakes. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a passion for vehicle engineering. You will gain hands-on experience with traditional, hybrid, and electric engines, working towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard in Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle), along with certifications in refrigerant handling and brand-specific training. Entry requirements

• GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science at grade 9-4, along with strong communication, IT, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
