About the role

This is an 18-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing, accredited by City & Guilds. As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, you will provide essential chairside support to clinicians, ensuring high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and GDPR compliance. Your responsibilities will include assisting dentists, sterilising and preparing equipment, performing reception duties, and enhancing the patient experience. Key duties involve welcoming patients, managing appointments, handling enquiries, maintaining strict infection control, accurately updating patient records, and ensuring clean and fully equipped clinical areas. This role offers clear progression routes within the dental sector, with opportunities to advance to roles such as Senior Dental Nurse, Lead Nurse, Treatment Coordinator, or Practice Manager, and with further training, into Dental Hygienist or Dental Therapist roles.
