About the role
Kick-start your aviation engineering career with KLM UK Engineering’s 2027 Level 3 Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship. Based at Norwich Airport, you'll gain a recognised qualification, hands-on experience, and expert mentoring while learning to inspect, maintain and repair aircraft in a world-class training and engineering environment.
During the first year, you will study at our technical college, with theory lessons and practical time on our emulation zone aircraft and workshops. From your second year, you will join our base maintenance department in the hangars and be mentored by an experienced member of our team, completing a variety of work on the aircraft.
At all times, you will be conscientious and ensure a clean and tidy working environment for the safety of yourself and others. You will demonstrate honesty and integrity. Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you will be a qualified aircraft mechanic. There are established routes for progression following this.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English Language (5/C or above), GCSE Maths (5/C or above), Desired GCSE Triple or Combined Science (5/C or above). Essential skills include communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, problem-solving, numeracy, analytical and logical thinking, teamwork, initiative, patience, physical fitness, and honesty.
