About the role

SEKO LOGISTICS is seeking a Junior Operations Coordinator Apprentice to manage and oversee shipments for assigned accounts. The apprentice will learn to handle charging, costing, and arranging the movement of goods, ensuring smooth flow of paperwork for customs clearance and timely deliveries. This role involves managing the full supply chain process from start to finish for specified accounts. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with UK/EU customs regulations, accurately transposing customs declaration information, managing KPIs, and understanding all elements of customs. The apprentice will correspond with customs and other government agencies, stay updated on import regulations, and build relationships with authorities. They will be responsible for all associated paperwork, ensuring compliance with import quotas, tariffs, trade agreements, and HMRC regulations. The role also involves costing jobs for maximum profitability and managing deadlines with negotiation skills. Upon completion, there is an opportunity for a permanent role.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English: 4-8, GCSE Maths: 4-8. Strong communication, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, analytical, logical, teamwork, initiative, non-judgemental, patience, friendly, and works well under pressure skills are essential.
