About the role

This apprenticeship offers a structured and challenging opportunity to learn the ins and outs of vehicle damage repair. You'll be involved in removing and refitting damaged mechanical and electrical components on cars before and after body repair work. Key duties include interpreting technical data, performing pre-repair diagnostics, safely removing and replacing various vehicle systems (engine, gearbox, suspension, electrical systems, autonomous components), diagnosing and fixing faults within the vehicle management system and associated electrical systems, identifying supplementary parts, operating correct repair tools and equipment, and rebuilding vehicles post-repair, reinstating safety-critical systems. You will also be trained to handle refrigerant for air conditioning/climate control systems. This role requires strong communication, IT, attention to detail, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills. Essential GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4 are required. Upon completion, there are many opportunities for career development within an expanding business, with learning focused on achieving an industry-recognised qualification.
