About the role

Join Moffatt Financial Planning as a Level 3 Business Administrator apprentice. You will support our advisers with general administration, client records, post and correspondence, while liaising with pension, investment and insurance providers. This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience in financial services.

Duties:

Moffatt Financial Planning is looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Business Administrator Level 3. This is a varied financial services administration role supporting our financial advisers and wider team. You will also deal regularly with pension providers, insurance companies and investment platforms.

Key duties include:

Providing general administrative support to financial advisers.

Contacting pension, insurance and investment providers by phone and email.

Requesting policy information, valuations and documents.

Updating client records and internal systems.

Preparing letters, emails and other correspondence.

Assisting with new business and ongoing client servicing.

Monitoring outstanding information and following up with providers.

Dealing with incoming and outgoing post.

Scanning, filing and maintaining accurate client records.

Answering telephone calls and supporting general office administration.

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and keen to learn, with good communication skills and attention to detail. You should be comfortable using computers, speaking to people by telephone and working as part of a team.

Previous financial services experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

The role offers the opportunity to gain practical experience within a financial planning firm while working towards the Level 3 Business Administrator qualification. You will learn about pensions, investments, insurance products, client servicing and the day-to-day operation of a regulated financial services business.

Career Progression:

We have successfully recruited two apprentices in the past, both of whom are still working within the business. On successful completion of the apprenticeship, we would expect the candidate to progress into a full-time role within our administration team, with the opportunity to develop further into paraplanning and, ultimately, a financial adviser role.

We actively support career progression and professional development. Our company ethos is centred on professionalism, learning and encouraging team members to progress through relevant financial services qualifications and professional exams.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Good communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, administrative, number, team working, initiative, and patience skills are essential.
