About the role

IDS Fire & Security in Bury are recruiting for a Trainee Estimator to join their team. The successful applicant will complete a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship over 18 months. Full training will be provided for duties including handling telephone enquiries from existing and potential clients, discussing project briefs, estimating project costs (materials, equipment, labour), submitting bids and tenders, and liaising with clients to secure sales. The role involves estimating and potentially designing Fire and Security Systems, working from the Bury office on a variety of projects.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Attention to detail, organisation skills, customer care skills, team working.
