About the role
As an apprentice, you will learn to install, maintain, test, repair and service a specific range of dental equipment.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Install, commission, inspect and maintain dental equipment.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
* Test equipment following installation, servicing, and repair.
* Utilize technical drawings, manuals, and diagnostic equipment.
* Maintain accurate service, inspection, and maintenance records.
* Adhere to manufacturer instructions, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
* Work safely within dental practices, hospitals, and other healthcare environments.
* Communicate effectively with dental practices, clinicians, manufacturers, and customers.
* Recognize and report equipment risks, operating within the limits of your competence.
This apprenticeship offers the potential for a full-time job upon completion. A full UK Driving License is required. The company, R A Medical Services Ltd, has a rich history in the development and manufacturing of anaesthetic and sedation equipment.
Entry requirements
- GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or C, or equivalent. Strong communication, IT, attention to detail, organization, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, administrative, and numeracy skills are essential.
