About the role

This is a hands-on support role working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism. You will provide person-centred support, promote independence, and help people achieve positive outcomes, while developing your skills through training and career progression opportunities. Duties include supporting individuals with daily living activities, preparing meals, accessing the community, accurately completing daily records using digital systems, and supporting individuals to engage in meaningful activities. You will work positively with colleagues, follow policies and procedures, and build positive relationships with individuals, families, and professionals. The role also involves supporting emotional wellbeing, maintaining a safe and clean environment, promoting dignity and safeguarding, and participating in supervision and training. Effective communication with team members and reporting concerns are essential. This is a Level 2 apprenticeship with clear progression routes within the organisation, including opportunities to progress into Location Support Lead and higher management roles, as well as further professional development through Level 3 or Level 4 Diplomas in Health and Social Care.
