About the role

Join Gymnastics Factory, a family-run, purpose-built recreational gymnastics facility in Guildford, as an Apprentice Gymnastics Coach. This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to learn the skills required to safely coach gymnastics to a wide range of members, from toddlers to teenagers. You will also gain experience in administrative and reception duties. As a Sports Coach Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced coaches, supporting session planning, delivery, and evaluation. You will develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to become a competent coach, capable of leading sessions independently. Key responsibilities include assisting with coaching classes, supporting the planning of engaging sessions, monitoring participant progress, and ensuring activities align with safeguarding and health & safety requirements. You'll also support holiday courses and events, build positive relationships with gymnasts, parents, and colleagues, and contribute to maintaining a safe training environment. This role requires a commitment to completing all apprenticeship coursework and attending training sessions. Previous gymnastics experience would be an advantage, and a DBS check and child safeguarding course are mandatory. Upon completion, career progression opportunities include becoming a full-time coach and then a Senior Coach.
