This is a varied office-based role ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, is comfortable with telephone communication, and aims to build a career in administration, customer service, and business support. The apprentice will be integral to the daily operations of the business, interacting with customers, suppliers, and colleagues, ensuring work is organised and projects progress smoothly from inquiry to completion. This role offers hands-on experience across a wide range of activities, providing a quick understanding of a busy fencing business.

Key responsibilities include customer service and telephone inquiries, handling incoming calls professionally, speaking with customers, taking inquiries, answering questions, and relaying messages. Outgoing calls to customers, suppliers, and contacts will also be part of the role. Administrative duties involve creating works orders, updating records, ensuring paperwork is accurate, supporting the team with job administration, monitoring outstanding work, and assisting with general office tasks. In terms of materials and suppliers, the apprentice will check material requirements, chase outstanding orders, liaise with suppliers, and update colleagues on delays. Support for the wider team includes updating colleagues on customer requirements, coordinating jobs, and following up on actions.
