About the role

As a Service Technician apprentice, you will be involved in all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair, from routine servicing to complex diagnostics. You'll work on a variety of vehicles, including traditional, hybrid, and electronic engines, gaining experience with cutting-edge technology. Your duties will include using diagnostic equipment, testing parts and systems, carrying out inspections, and performing repairs on clutches, gearboxes, tyres, brakes, and suspension. You'll also be responsible for accurate record-keeping and maintaining a clean work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong logic, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, along with enthusiasm, teamwork, and excellent communication abilities. This three-year program offers a solid foundation for a long-term career in vehicle engineering with excellent progression opportunities. Training will be delivered through a blend of virtual learning and face-to-face sessions at a state-of-the-art training center, with all training costs covered. Upon completion, you will receive a Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard in Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle), along with other relevant certifications.

Entry requirements

  • GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science at grade 4/C or above, along with strong communication, attention to detail, organization, customer care, problem-solving, logical thinking, and teamwork skills.
