About the role
Seeking an AD Plant Apprentice to join the Anaerobic Digestion and Effluent team at Pickstock Telford Ltd. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in operating, maintaining, and monitoring an Anaerobic Digestion and Effluent Plant. The role involves working with agricultural machinery and plant equipment, conducting site inspections, performing maintenance activities, and keeping operational records. Duties include assisting with daily plant operations, learning process monitoring and optimisation, completing operational checks, supporting feedstock loading and material movement, participating in an out-of-hours alarm response system, assisting with preventative maintenance, and learning safe maintenance practices. The apprentice will help identify and report equipment defects, maintain tools and work areas, support site cleaning and general maintenance, assist with contractor supervision, ensure work areas are clean and compliant, support waste management and environmental controls, and complete daily records, logbooks, and sampling documentation. The role also involves assisting with plant reports and data collection, accurately recording maintenance activities, and supporting daily reporting requirements.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, organisation skills, problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and teamwork abilities are essential.
