Engineering Apprentice

About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to build a career in precision CNC Mill Turn Operating. The role involves hands-on work, a keen attention to detail, and a strong desire to learn. Successful candidates will be responsible for operating CNC machines, interpreting engineering drawings, monitoring machine performance, ensuring the quality of finished parts, and attending college training sessions to complete coursework.

Key duties include loading workpieces, selecting tools, setting machine parameters, and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance. You will also be expected to identify and address any issues that may arise during the machining process. The apprenticeship is designed to provide comprehensive training and development within a professional manufacturing environment, with a focus on developing skills in a specialist engineering field.

Entry requirements

• GCSE Maths, English & Science at grade 4-9 (A*-C) are essential. Strong communication, IT, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are also required.
