About the role

Provide efficient and reliable chair-side support to the dental surgery. The day-to-day duties of a dental nurse can span across all areas of the practice and can include reception duties, dealing with patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, sterilising and preparing equipment, recording patient records, supporting patients' wellbeing, cleaning dental areas, managing stock, and any other duties to support effective patient care. This is a Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard, with off-the-job training averaging 7 hours per week. Upon completion, career progression opportunities include moving into roles like team manager, dental practice manager, or further training to become a dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.
