About the role

Kick-start your engineering career with Marrill Engineering! Gain hands-on experience maintaining, repairing and setting specialist dies and tooling alongside experienced engineers. Develop valuable practical skills while working towards a recognised Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship and building your future in manufacturing.

Duties include learning a specialist engineering trade, developing practical skills in die maintenance, supporting inspection, repair, adjustment and servicing of production dies and tooling. You will work alongside experienced engineers, learn to identify faults and wear, and develop skills in fitting and maintenance. The role involves using a range of engineering tools and equipment, reading engineering drawings, supporting preventative maintenance, and developing problem-solving skills. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to build a long-term engineering career with Marrill Engineering, gaining valuable industry experience and a recognised qualification.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English Language or English Literature grade 4 or above, GCSE Maths grade 4 or above, and a Level 2 qualification in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Pass). Essential skills include communication, attention to detail, customer care, problem-solving, administrative skills, number skills, teamwork, and initiative. Candidates must have completed a minimum of six specific units from their previous engineering qualification (Milling, Turning, Hand Fitting, Mechanical, Electrical, CAD, Fluid Systems, Welding).
