Early Years Apprentice

About the role

Are you looking to train in childcare? A friendly, preschool in Whiteley, Hampshire is looking for an Early Years Apprentice to join their team. The successful candidate will work and interact directly with children on a day-to-day basis supporting the planning of and delivery of activities.

As an Early Years Apprentice, you will contribute to a high quality caring environment for children, creating a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere where children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally. Under supervision, you will provide all aspects of care for children, assist with meeting their personal and emotional needs, and act as a key worker to a small group of children, recording observations and planning for them. You will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and ensuring preschool policies and procedures are adhered to. All work must be completed to desired timescales as set by the Showcase Tutor.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English 4 or C and above. Desired: GCSE Maths 4 or C and above. Strong communication, attention to detail, organisational, customer care, analytical, logical, teamwork, creative, initiative, non-judgemental, and patience skills are essential.
