About the role

Mec-Com are looking to recruit an enthusiastic apprentice to join their team. You will assist experienced quality engineers with the inspection and testing of materials, planning and executing projects and work closely with engineers to understand manufacturing processes and equipment.

In this role, you will be involved in Quality Control by assisting in inspecting and testing materials, in-process components, and finished products, collaborating with the quality team to identify and address defects, and learning quality control procedures. You will also support Project Management by assisting in planning, executing, and closing projects, coordinating activities, and learning project management tools. Furthermore, you will gain Engineering experience by understanding manufacturing processes and equipment, participating in troubleshooting, and implementing engineering solutions.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English (9-5), communication skills, organisation skills, logical thinking, teamwork, initiative, interest in Engineering, willingness to learn.
