About the role

This is a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Passenger Transport, focusing on becoming a skilled bus driver. Apprentices will learn to operate a bus safely and efficiently across London, adhering to high service standards. Key responsibilities include understanding and implementing procedures for reliable service delivery, conducting essential daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, and providing excellent customer service to passengers. The apprenticeship also covers the importance of these procedures for maintaining operational integrity. Successful completion will lead to a Level 2 (Intermediate) Passenger Transport Driver - Bus, Coach and Tram qualification, alongside a PCV (category D) licence and Driver CPC card. Functional Skills training will be provided if required. Most of the training is delivered in blocks, with specific locations to be confirmed.

Entry requirements

  • 18yrs or over, held a full car (category B) driving licence for at least 6 months, and no more than 6 penalty points. Non judgemental, patient, friendly, willing to learn, enjoy driving, enjoy meeting people, good communicator, good timekeeping.
