About the role
As an apprentice vehicle damage panel technician, you will be repairing accident damage to vehicles, i.e., removal, repair and replacement of vehicle body panels to vehicle manufacturer specification. The vehicles can include cars and light commercial vehicles. Expect a high-quality training package with excellent career prospects.
Duties include undertaking job preparation, identifying materials and joining techniques, interpreting technical data, removing/repairing/replacing body panels, operating repair tools, identifying supplementary damage, rectifying structural faults, and maintaining housekeeping standards.
We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude who is willing to learn, follow instructions, is self-motivated, enthusiastic, and organised. They need to be keen to support others as a cooperative team member, with a genuine passion for cars and all things automotive.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths Grade 4/C or above. Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Problem solving skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Creative, Initiative, Patience, Physical fitness. Level 2 maths and English Functional Skills (if not already achieved).
