About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for engineering and problem solving to begin a rewarding career in industrial electrical engineering. Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll learn how electrical control panels are designed, assembled, wired, tested and commissioned for industrial applications.

As an Electrical Engineer Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers and learn how to build and test electrical control panels used in a wide range of industries. Your day-to-day duties will include building electrical control panels, wiring electrical components using engineering drawings, learning to read electrical schematics and diagrams, using hand and power tools safely, testing completed control panels, identifying and fixing faults, keeping your work area clean, organised and safe, working as part of the engineering team on a variety of projects, and following company quality and health & safety procedures. You will develop your skills through practical work and your apprenticeship training. As your experience grows, you’ll take on more responsibility and learn more advanced aspects of electrical engineering and industrial automation.
