About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Stepping Stones, a well-established nursery group, as an Apprentice Early Years Practitioner. This role is ideal for individuals seeking a career in childcare. The apprentice will contribute to high standards of learning and developmental care, support team members, and help create an enabling environment where children can play, learn, and develop. The position involves contributing to a programme of activities tailored to children's individual needs and interests, encouraging free play, and acting as a listener and advocate for children. Key responsibilities include working towards becoming a Key Person, maintaining development records, partnering with parents, building nurturing relationships, safeguarding children, promoting equality, liaising with professional bodies, and ensuring a safe and stimulating environment in line with EYFS, Ofsted, and Health & Safety regulations.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English/Maths at grade 4 or above. Desired skills include communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, administrative, analytical, logical, teamwork, creativity, initiative, and being non-judgemental and patient.
