Nursery Apprentice

About the role

As a nursery apprentice, you will contribute to a high-quality, caring environment for children. This involves creating a warm, friendly, and stimulating atmosphere for their emotional, social, and educational development. Under supervision, you will provide all aspects of childcare, including washing, changing, and feeding. You will act as a key worker, recording observations and planning for a small group of children, and assist with their personal and emotional needs. Completing work within the timeframe for your tutor and adhering to safeguarding procedures and nursery policies are also key responsibilities. This apprenticeship is for the Early Years Educator standard, including functional skills at level 2 minimum and an end-point assessment. Training is delivered through work-based visits and dedicated coursework time.
