About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join T.J.W LOGISTICS GROUP LTD, trading as 'Driver Hire', as a Business Administration and Recruitment Services apprentice. You will be working within a busy office environment, focusing on logistics recruitment. This role offers a clear career progression path, with the potential for future management roles upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Key responsibilities include assisting senior staff with driver selection and application processes, maintaining internal databases, and providing comprehensive administrative support. You will also be involved in uploading information for new and completed courses, managing course bookings, and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders. This role requires strong ICT skills for data management and effective communication via email, telephone, and face-to-face interactions. Additionally, you will assist with finance-related tasks such as travel expenses and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.

The apprenticeship will be delivered through a combination of on-the-job training, remote support sessions (Zoom/Teams), and regular site visits. Off-the-job training is a mandatory part of the qualification, with dedicated time allocated by the employer. Support for functional skills in Maths and English will be provided if necessary. The training provider is FOCUS TRAINING (SW) LIMITED, and the qualification is the Full Business Administrator Standard - Level 3. Upon successful completion, there is a strong possibility of continued employment and career advancement within the company.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at A*-C (9-4) are desired. Strong communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, analytical, logical, teamwork, initiative, and non-judgemental skills are essential.
