About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Equine Groom Apprentice to join Natalie Allen Dressage, a professional international dressage rider and trainer based in Warwickshire. The role involves all general yard duties, including mucking out, grooming, tacking up, clipping, plaiting, lunging, and show preparation. The apprentice will be trained to achieve an Equine Groom Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard, with all training conducted at the employer's premises by Haddon Training. This apprenticeship requires a strong basic experience with horses, excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Successful completion may lead to further training or full-time employment. As there is no accommodation provided, candidates must be able to commute to the yard daily. Hours are negotiable and can be full or part-time.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English: 4 (Desired), GCSE Maths: 4 (Desired), Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Problem solving skills, Presentation skills, Logical, Team working, Creative, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience, Physical fitness. Very good basic experience with horses required.
