About the role

Embark on a rewarding career path as an Apprentice Dental Nurse with Cavendish Dental Practice in Derby. This 12-month, government-funded City & Guilds Level 3 Extended Diploma apprenticeship offers comprehensive training alongside practical experience. You will assist dentists, manage sterilisation and equipment preparation, handle reception duties, and contribute to a positive patient experience. Key responsibilities include providing chair-side support, managing patient queries, processing payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the cleanliness and stock management of the practice. This role is ideal for individuals with strong communication, organisation, and customer care skills, who are patient, non-judgemental, and possess excellent team-working abilities. Upon completion, you will have the opportunity to progress into roles such as team manager or dental practice manager, or further your education to become a dental therapist, hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Excellent communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and team working skills. Must be patient, non-judgemental, and possess good patient care skills.
