About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to become a fully qualified Dental Nurse. The 12-month government-funded course, accredited by City & Guilds, leads to a Level 3 Extended Diploma. You will gain hands-on experience in assisting dentists, sterilizing and preparing equipment, managing reception duties, and significantly contributing to the patient experience. The role involves a variety of tasks, including patient communication, appointment management, record keeping, stock management, and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness within the practice. Upon completion, career progression opportunities include roles such as team manager, dental practice manager, or further training to become a dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Excellent communication, organisational, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills are essential. Patience and a non-judgemental attitude are also important.
