About the role

This is a 12-month, government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma apprenticeship in dental nursing offered by City & Guilds. The role involves assisting dentists chair-side, sterilizing and preparing equipment, performing reception duties, managing patient queries and payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, supporting patient wellbeing, managing stock, and ensuring the cleanliness of dental areas. The apprenticeship is delivered at the dental surgery, with additional functional skills training provided if required.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Desired skills include communication, organization, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, team working, patience, and a non-judgemental attitude.
