About the role

This apprenticeship offers a government-funded, 12-month Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing, provided by City & Guilds. As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, you will gain hands-on experience assisting dentists, sterilizing and preparing equipment, managing reception duties, and enhancing the patient experience. The role involves a wide range of tasks, including handling patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the cleanliness of dental areas. You will also be responsible for managing stock and supporting the wider dental team to deliver effective patient care.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills are essential. Patience and a non-judgemental approach are also required.
